The micro-credentialed courses offered by OpenCampus Australia are equivalent to a 3–8 hour of study (for stand alone courses), and extended hours (for bundled courses) including an in-built formal assessment. When you successfully complete a course, you’ll be awarded a digital badge (digital certificate) that represents the micro-credential/s.

We are offering micro-credentials in the hospitality space, in response to changes within the profession, both to the skills and capabilities employers are looking for within each vertical and to the way that individuals want to develop their careers and demonstrate their achievements.

OpenCampus Australia Micro-Credentials are available as a new way to quickly gain or demonstrate specific capabilities important to your employer or your own career path.

All OpenCampus Australia Micro-Credentialed courses have an in-built assessment which is included in the fee. You can choose not to complete the assessment, but you won’t receive or be able to claim a digital badge.

A micro-credential is a certification of assessed learning that is additional, alternative, complementary to a component part of a formal qualification.

When someone clicks on your digital badge or digital certificate, they will be able to view information about that achievement. We call this information ‘metadata’. It includes:

Who has awarded the badge or certificate and when;
The subject studied including learning outcomes;
Hours of learning and the assessment process undertaken;
Date of attainment; and
The level of capability achieved, and skills demonstrated.

OpenCampus Australia will award you immediately with a digital badge (digital certificate) upon successful completion of the course and you passing your assessment tasks within your chosen micro-credential course.
